Pears Baby Range from the stable of Unilever Nigeria, recently crowned the 2014 Pears Baby of the Year, at an event which held at the Unilever head office Oregun.
The contest which started in December 2013 and ended with a special event in April 2014, had Somekene Chukwuka-Eze emerge as the winner of the competition with David Kelechukwu Ezeocha as the first runner up and Alice Esosa Aghedo as the second runner up.
The winner went away with a N1,000,000 cash prize and the crown of Pears Baby of the year. The first runner up won N500,000 cash prize, while the second runner up walked away with the sum of N250,000 cash prize. All three babies will also be given a year’s supply of the pears baby range of products.

The competition was carried out via the Pears Nigeria Facebook page, mobile site and postal entries, which had over one thousand baby entries! The babies were pruned down to fifteen who then qualified for the Pears Baby of the year grand finale.
The final fifteen were judged based on the following criteria;

- Outstanding innate personality
